Romantic Camping Escapes for Valentines Day

Valentine’s Day might be on a Tuesday but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate over the weekend, or plan a future trip together at one of these romantic spots! Oregon is full of beauty and splendor, perfect for spending some quality time with the one you love camping and enjoying the great outdoors!

Tillicum Beach Campground

If you like the beach, camping at Tillicum is a place to not be missed. Located outside Yachats, OR, just down the road from Cape Perpetua, its amazing views aren’t to be missed!

With majority of the campsites having ocean views, and easy beach access, you can take a romantic walk the wide and seemingly endless beach at sunset. Or get comfortable, and sit around your campfire watching the sun set with your loved one. Just don’t forget the ‘s’mores and some wine!

You can also be lulled to sleep every night with the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach, creating a relaxing night’s sleep.

Sites at Tillicum are equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring, and wood bundles can be purchased from the camp host. Flush toilets and drinking water are nearby and even your furry four legged family members are welcome!

Belknap Hot Springs

If you’re looking for a little more pampering, look no further than Belknap Springs! Located on the McKenzie River, its two mineral hot springs are sure to get you relaxed and rejuvenated! They offer RV and tent sites with hookups for electricity, water and sewer.

You can start your day with a relaxing soak, and end it with another after a day of hiking, or sightseeing in the McKenzie Pass. Be sure to stop at Proxy falls as well!  If you want to spend the day at the resort, relaxing next to the river and exploring the grounds make sure you find the secret garden! It is a must!

Dogs are also welcome at Belknap.

Silver Falls State Park

Waterfalls! There is something about waterfalls that create a sense of romance. There natural beauty and graceful power is relaxing yet intimidating at the same time.

If you love waterfalls, or love someone who does and you want to surprise them, Silver Falls State Park is your place! With over fifteen waterfalls, YES 15, there is a hike and waterfall for almost every endurance level. You won’t be disappointed!
The park has plenty of spacious lawns for activities, horseshoe pits, even bbq pits. Or relax with a picnic next to the small creek in the day use area.  And when you’re done hiking, spend the evening around the campfire nestled in the beautiful Cascade Mountains enjoying each other’s company. Nothing like being cozy in the mountains with the one you love!

The park offers over 50 RV spots with hook ups that are open year round. The park also has a dump station, showers and flushing toilets, drinking water, firewood for sale and beautiful picnic areas!
